XP FLOOR IS NOW IN EFFECT.

XP Floors are now a thing. You may just have earned some XP for doing... well... nothing.

A2.4 – Experience Floor
At the beginning of each month, if a PC did not earn at least 3 XP the previous month from attending games and submitting downtimes, their earned XP for the previous month is set to 3. If XP is backdated for that month, this is recalculated.

New PCs start with 3XP per month of chronicle, starting with June, 2013. These starting XP traits are treated like all other Experience Points used at creation.

Add the following XP to your sheet. Effective immediately. If your first session was October, (+12xp), November (+15xp), December (+18xp), January (+21xp), Feb (+24xp)

This also means something else awesome.

Even players who have been active since day 1 after the reset and have gotten max XP have a total of 15 more possible xp than us. We're officially competitive!

You mean six months before we joined MES? Yes, that would be exceedingly unlikely.

I suspect we're going to see an upsurge in scene requests. If anyone needs a scene in order to learn a new gift/ability/what have you, let me know.

I am not sure how I feel about this. Ok, so I stand to gain 27XP. But didn't the people who came first and survived deserve to be ahead of me? More XP does not make better characters. And does it make sense for a brand new rank one to be so advanced?

It closes the gap, doesnt put on par i believe. You are getting 3 xp per month missed while xp cap per month is 6

Also; remember that you may get XP, but there's no renown floor. You can have all the XP you want, mouthing off to an Athro will still be a bad idea.

Hum.. I'm not sure if I remember what that means. I think we get cheaper prices on Gonsis, Willpower and Rage (2xp per), but we can't buy more then 5 of each. Is there anything we can't buy with or costs different at creation?

I dunno about things we can't buy, but I do know that line means we don't need teachers beyond what is in our backgrounds.

If these are XP points and not freebie points, shouldn't all the costs be the same?

Yeah, I don't think anything costs less. That's just for freebies. This is XP. I think everything is standard cost, but you don't need a teacher because it is treated at creation spends.

The XP costs are the same, but you're not allowed to use them to buy out of breed/tribe/auspice Gifts.

That I don't think you can do. Which sucks, because I wanted to do the same thing.

What about saving the XP while you search for spirits and such to teach gifts etc?

I really don't know what the rules are on saving "creation XP" and finding teachers for gifts purchased with "creation xp". I'm sure Brian will weigh in when he's around.
