Future Location

So I heard rumors that open gaming will be coming to a close at UB according to SARPA at the end of the year.  If this is true, do we have an idea on where FW will be hosted in the future?

It's a bit more than a rumor--more of an official announcement that it's so. We're in a bit better position than most of the LARPs, in that we have a long tradition of sessions in sites other than UB; for half the year, we can simply go back to meeting at the park. Unfortunately, this news comes just as the OTHER half of the year is getting underway, so we'll probably need to find a warmer venue until at least spring. Brian and Bucky are looking into options.

In that vein - would we ever be going out to Isle View Park in Tonawanda? I used to tromp over there in my younger days, and that place is rife with fun nooks and scenes for RP.

I'll take a look. We've run at Ellicott Creek a couple times, and that was a good site too.

I love that wee island. Last time I went, there was a little grotto, and a broken-down castle, so I hope all that is still there. Makes for a fantastic atmosphere.

It was there last year. Except for the chance of Random Dog Encounters, it's pretty much perfect.

I love the RDEs. I had two pit bulls charge me down for my ice cream once. Threatening dogs, indeed.

Me, I'd like to see sessions at the IC location of our game - Niagara Falls State Park.

That would be pretty epic. I love going down there, I miss Tesla's lap.

Well, we've got a few months of summer coming up. I've always wanted to do a NF/Goat Islandy session too.

Indeed. I love that area, and getting a few hours down by the Falls would definitely charge my batteries.

June at the Falls Im In..... I guess May would work as well

May session is going to be problematic for me, I'm going to be out of town for my sister's graduation. So we'll either end up moving the session on going on without me, we'll discuss at April session.

I also very much want to run a quasi-IC scene at the Lockport Underground Tunnel Boat Tour. (This would likely be outside of normal session, but it's worth the twelve bucks or so it costs--cool tour.)
