Summoning North Star

Seated calmly on a rock in the Umbral Bawn, the homid form of 'Walks in Shadow', dressed in ripped and oversized clothing, can be seen smoking what appears (and smells) to be a joint. He's just finished it and is putting it out on the bottom of his shoe. Seated next to him is 'Speaks with Gaia's Voice', in homid as well and with her horns covered. Drawn on the rocks before them is a summoning circle, candles are lit, and incense is burning. The Alpha looks around, agitated.

"I hope Oz shows up soon so we can get this summoning going." He adds, an aside to the Cliath next to him.

Speaks nods as she fidgets with her new hat. It's a floppy snood type in blue with silver swirls. "I have an idea. I'll help you talk to animals, and you can help me talk to spirits. I wanna be able to collect the tales of this home.... Also.... Maybe we can do training for pack battles?"

Walks shrugs.

"That's a lot to do. We'll get around to all of it, but getting us working together and agreeing on stuff is the first step. That requires a fair bit of training. For now just let me do the talking with Spirits, and I'll let you do the talking with Animals - which is later anyway. For now, we wait til Oz gets here."

"Who ever heard of a Silent Strider who is always late, anyway?" He adds, under his breath.

"Well they can be like ninjas!" Speaks gives him a silly face.

::Walks up to the other two, dusting off his fadded jeans:: Sorry about that, apparently there was some pressing matters that needed to be handled on my way here.

"Bone Gnawer cooking?" The look she has is true innocence.

Walks in Shadow nods to greet his packmate and immediately busies himself with the preparations for the summoning. Searching the Umbral skyline, he locates Polaris. He calls out to North Star, and makes the following plea.

"Great Totem of Respect as always I delight in your guidance which has spared me many times in my wandering, but tonight my packmates and I come before you not with a request for guidance, but rather your aid in guiding another."

He looks to Speaks with Gaia's Voice briefly before returning his focused gaze to the Star.

"Speaks with Gaia's Voice is a Cliath of the Nation and though she is not of Owl's Tribe, she is most certainly a wanderer in need of guidance. She has made some mistakes recently which have earned her the displeasure of the Spirits, mistakes for which she seeks to make amends. She has come before you today prepared to offer great chimenage, and has already begun performing it and working to prove herself to the Nation once again. As a Metis, her natural and most comfortable form is Chrinos. It was the fact that she reverted to this form, and her inability to hide her deformity to protect the veil which led to her current dishonor. She has offered to remain in Homid form for two moons, and to keep her horns disguised or covered for that entire period as well. It is her hope, and mine, that you will accept this as suitable chimenage for protecting her Rank."

All of the above is spoken with Spirit Speech. With his plea, he performs the Rite of Summoning, and offers a Gnosis to the Spirit to smooth the way.

The star flickers, then shimmers, then disappears for a moment, then flares in brightness.

Spirit speech, << Well spoken, Garou of the Nation.  So you say, so it shall be.  Her shame will be as nothing if she keeps to her bargain.>>

With a respectful nod, the Theurge turns once again to Speaks with Gaia's Voice.

"As we discussed, the great Spirit has agreed to a chimenage of two months spent in Homid form, with your horns covered for that entire time. This is in addition to your other efforts to make amends. For now, North Star will protect you while we work on ways you can prove yourself to the Sept."

He looks back up and bows his head reverently. Lighting some incense, he offers another Gnosis in thanks and sets about closing the ritual.

Speaks smiles and hugs walks. "Thank you!!!!!!"
