That's.. odd. 7/21/2015 3am

In the middle of the night, the sleepless might notice a cell phone drifting lazily around the Umbral Bawn. It hangs three feet off the ground, meandering about.

It has a happy face on it.

It rings the default iPhone ringtone.

Speaks will follow it, rubbing her eyes sleepily. "Hey phone.... Why are you floating?"

A large white wolf was following the phone suspiciously, and it raised its head when it saw a familiar Metis. The phone was growled at, but Ylva didn't smash it to bits... yet.

Speaks pats the wolf's head. "Mmm maybe pancakes..." ((Oh yeah she is half asleep))

The wolf visibly flinched, and then turned back to the irritating phone. She growled and then threw back her head to howl, calling for a Theurge. What else could make a phone float but spirits?

Chris shows up a few minutes later, clearly having dressed hurriedly. "Alright
What's all this, then?", he asks, hands going through messy hair.

Ylva returned to her homid form and pointed at the hovering cell phone. "Last I checked, cell phones don't have an anti-gravity feature yet," she grumped. "This might have something to do with the power going dead in the caern a few days ago, and the Weaver infecting our technology. But hell if I know what to do with that thing." As the phone continued to ring one of her eyebrows twitched.

The phone continues to ring cheerfully as it meanders about.

*Miguel walks in.. raises an eyebrow and howls for the Warder.*

Asya isn't far behind him, look curious.

Miguel and Asya would receive nods from the Get, who went back to glaring at the phone. "I'm not touching it..."

Asya beams at Ylva, coming closer to inspect the phone without touching it. "Well, that's something new..."

It's a stock iPhone, latest gen. There is a bouquet of roses on the screen above the swipe-to-unlock

Warder Abe Harley arrives at a brisk jog and seemingly from nowhere produces a very large hammer.

Chris frowns, watching it. "And who are you, little spirit?", he asks, using Sprit Speech as he follows it. (OOC: Does it appear to be an Awakened spirit?)

(To Theurges, it appears to be a messenger spirit)

The phone continues to chime. The ringtone, in Spirit Speech says, "Answer me, Answer me, I'm a helpful phone call. Answer me, Answer me, I'm a helpful phone call. Ylva eyes Warder. "Smashing it was my first thought too..."

Chris reaches out for it and then stops, looking over towards the Warder. "Smashing it might be a good idea. THis seems to just be a messenger spirit, though, it might be useful to at least hear what it wants. It's your call though."

Harley smiles, "It's not actually on the Bawn. I defer to Sept leadership. If it comes onto the Bawn, I'll smash it good though. "

He shrugs, "Don't look at me; our Alpha has declared he wants no Beta. On the other hand, let's find out what the Weaver wants to tempt us with this time, why don't we?" And, unless someone reaches out to stop him, he will take the cell phone. "(Alright, little spirit, give me your message)", he says as he opens it.

The voice is perfectly formed, like a longtime radio broadcaster, yes somehow hits at that uncanny valley of inhumanity.

" Hello friend, how are you doing on this fine evening? "

Christopher frowns, "Well. I was better before some jackass sent a spirit towards the Sept in the middle of the night. What can we do for you, lad?"

" Well, I'm sorry to say, you're not the right one. Looks like a simple matter of a wrong number. "

The phone melts away to golden flecks of gnosis in Brady's hand.

Ylva stared as the phone melted away. "What the hell..."

"I wonder who the right one was," she muses idly.
