1/6/14 - The Thundersnow Challenge

Adam just shakes his head and continues on, head bowed against the wind...

...and nearly walks into Thundersnow.

Slowly, the wolf's head lifts up...

...and up...

...and up, to meet the Incarna's gaze. Adam pants nervously.

((Spirit Speech))<<"Oh. Hail Lord of Snow! We have passed through the storm your wrath has wrought. We have borne the brunt of your rage, and we have experienced the glory that is your music! Together we have overcome the snow and ice, we have stayed together along the path, and together we have defeated the Blizzard. Have you more challenge to offer, or have we proven ourselves to you?">>

"how about margaritas they can be made frozen....."

Realizing that no one is paying any attention to him J trails off and fallows adams gaze

The gang hears a monsterous electric power chord ring through the sky.

To King, in spirits speech, Thundershow responds:

There is then a blast of cold, the white out becomes complete, and none of you can see so much as the hand in front of your face.  If you are not in a regenerating form, you are now taking a lethal every round.

Except Syntos, who probably wonders what all the fuss is about.

Adam, grateful to be in Hispo, lowers his head farther. He looks to Jimmy, and howls.

J hits the deck behind a rock and hunkers down. " YOU HAD TO GO AND MAKE HIM MAD. HOW HARD IS IT TO BUY THE INCARNA A FROSTY BREVRIGE"

Adam joins Jay behind the rock, howling to be heard.《"HE'S ALWAYS MAD! HE'S THE LORD OF SNOW AND RAGE!! HE'S THUNDERSNOW!"》

::looks at the guys behind the ricks and nods::

Great Thundersnow your wind is too cold, your snow too thick, I cannot see,  my friends have run I am defeated. We are all defeated drink of my essence if you wish oh great warrior.

::falls over in a heap::

The maelstrom quiets down some, enough that you can hear the echoing laughter of a god over the howl of the winds.

Adam walks slowly out from behind the rock.

<<"We did not run, Jimmy, we would not abandon you.">>

He turns to Thundersnow.

<<"Lord of Snow, it is true that you defeated us. We cannot finish our trek, we would never survive. Drink of my essence as well, if you will, for to the victor go the spoils.">>

((I'll pump out a gnosis as well.))

He accepts your offering, as is just.

Adam sighs, walking over to check on Jimmy.

<<"Alright, we lost. Let's go somewhere warm and lick our wounds.">>

Turning to look back at Thundersnow he bows his head.

((Spirit Speech)) <<"Lord of Snow, do we have your permission to depart? Or have you more business with your defeated challengers?">>

Thundersnow approaches, thirty feet tall and crackling with electricity.  To those without Spirit Speech, you only hear echoing laughter amidst the rolling thunder.

<< Bwa-ha-ha-ha.  Foolish mortal!  You challenge a mighty god!  Of course you will always fail,>> before lowing his voice and saying quietly, more as an aside, << You really need to work on managing your expectations, or at least setting your terms in advance.  I'd recommend having a Theurge help you out with that next time. >>

He holds his hand over his belly as he says this, before letting out another bellowing, << bwa-ha-ha-ha >>

Adam's head bows even lower.

I can only hope that in my ineffectual attempts to earn that gift, I might earn enough of your respect that you choose to grant that boon of your own free will. You are far too powerful for ones such as us to defeat. We will never be able to make you tell us that which you have chosen to keep secret. I simply hoped that by enduring your Wrath as long as we could, we might just earn your respect enough for you to trust us.">>

Adam nods, turning to look at the others.

He makes a "let's get out of here" gesture with his head, and turns to look back at Thundersnow.

<<"We will slay a minion of the Wyrm for you, Lord of Snow.">>

With that, he turns to leave.

Thundersnow's booming voice echoes in one last thunderclap as he departs.

Adam nods again, and turns to tend to Jimmy.

He would bow his head low in respect of Thundersnow, offering gnosis as well before Thundersnow would depart. Eyes then would look to the others, making sure all were accounted for.
